Logo for a general contractor named Jay. Brought in the blue jay to bring a personal element into the logo. The logo had to be bold, easily readable from afar and easy to reproduce across different print mediums - especially signage.
Some other ideas we kicked around were some more general stylings, like a roofline of some sort. Instead of a traditional roof line, I placed the word 'Powell' in a more midcentury-modern roof line style to emphasize growth, and visual movement.
